2020 Consumers Guide to Grants Management Systems

Developed by Tech Impact’s Idealware in partnership with PEAK Grantmaking and Grantbook, the 2020 Guide reviews 14 of the most widely used grants management systems against hundreds of requirements criteria developed with the expertise of consultants, vendors, foundation program officers, and system administrators.

What you’ll find in the new Guide: In the four years since the last edition of the Guide, the marketplace for grants management systems has undergone a lot of changes. This time around, we’re reviewing fewer systems (due to acquisitions), but many  have increased functionality and improved overall to respond to the many stakeholders, both inside and outside of a grantmaking institution, who interact with these systems. Increasingly, grantmakers want good data to measure impact, to make more strategic decisions, and to support learning for the philanthropic and nonprofit sector as a whole. These strategic imperatives have pushed many grants management systems – and the people who use them – far beyond basic administrative functions.
